Land Registry Says House Prices Are Back At 2006 Levels

The Land Registry have released their latest house price figures for June.

Despite gloomy predictions on the state of the property and conveyancing industry, the statistics show that house prices rose by 0.1% from May to June, and were now at the same levels of summer 2006.

The average property in England and Wales now costs £166,072 – an increase of 8.4% on June last year.

Conveyancing lawyers and people looking to move home are starting to see a levelling off of house prices in recent months, with the abolition of HIPs and the Emergency Budget contributing to confusion in the conveyancing market.

As always, 1st Property Lawyers will keep you updated on all the latest conveyancing developments and what they might mean for your conveyancing process.
